Writing about Affiliate Marketing or AM : Part I

By Mani Raj

Blogging is easy and difficult at the same time. Easy-- as multitudes of mortals are doing it; and difficult-- as it’s really tricky to blog about something which appeals to the readers.

As I’ve taken a decision to write in a blog, I’ll assume blogging to be easy and try my best to find concepts that appeal to the readers.

One such concept, which is getting popular with each passing day, is the Affiliate Marketing or AM.

Affiliate Marketing is an act of marketing someone else’s products or services for a portion, or commission, of each sale that you make. But believe me it’s not less than an adventure. As even when similar steps and principles are applied by the players some do exceptionally well, some are mediocre and some are hopelessly hopeless.
Depending on their personal and professional commitments people associate themselves to AM in different ways.

Some people do affiliate marketing as their full time jobs. That’s they undertake AM as the primary money earning medium. For them AM is a business and they work with an objective of making serious money out of it. Initially they work on their own, but when the business becomes big, they go hiring.

The other group consists of the people who do AM along with their usual day jobs. Although a small percentage of people from this group makes serious money out of AM. But still some do make serious money.

Today we discussed the concept of AM and the different ways people associate themselves with AM.

Now let’s conclude the first part of the series on AM with two very popular Affiliate marketing Programs on the web:

Click Bank

And

Commission Junction

Rest in the part II of the series.
