The models who appear on magazine covers seem to be having blemish free flawless complexion.But in reality they're not that picture perfect, as they appear to be; their appearance is enhanced digitally and that too, in a big way.

When times are tough, people are more likely to reassure their future

In the midst of the global financial crisis a Japanese internet firm specializing in the prediction of future, is doing roaring business. As more number of people now; than in good times seek reassurance about the future.

Zappallas Inc., having Japan’s largest network of fortune-telling websites (catered as a mobile content), is seeing a big boost in its business, in the last couple of months.

If numbers are an indication of the skyward going business; have a look at some of them:

The Firm posted a 61% rise in net in the first half of this quarter.

The firm revised its expected profit upwards for this year.

Compared to last year, the firm’s registered users, who pay a set monthly fee, have already risen by 21 percent to 2.2 million or 22 Lakh.

Can't say of the people; but the firm is fully assured of its future.

A Girl and a Facebook account traced the bill dodger

He and his friends ate expensive and choicest of food at the restaurant, dodged the hefty bill; But the fact that he enquired about a girl to the waiter and he also had an account at Facebook, nailed him. He had to pay the bill; and he along with his girlfriend had to search for a new job.

Headphones may interfere with pacemakers and defibrillators

If you are the one implanted with a pacemaker or a cardioverter defibrillator, then the information below may be useful to you.

As according to a study, Headphones used with MP3 digital music players like the iPod etc.interfere with the working of the above mentioned implants.

The interference is due to strong little magnets inside the headphones.

The headphones affect the normal working of these implants when placed at a distance of 1.2 inches of the implants.

When placed within the above mentioned distance(1.2 inches), 25 out of 100 people with a pacemaker experienced interference.

This number was 50 out of 100 (double) with people implanted with a cardioverter defibrillator.

So those with the implants should use Headphones normally; that's headphones should be placed in the ears; and should not be hung over the chest or put in shirt or coat pocket near the chest (when not being used).

The idea is not to bring headphones even when not in use, close to the implants (1.2 inches).

Ask others not to bring their headphones close to your implants as well, the study added.

Cellphones with Bluetooth(wireless technology)are unlikely to affect the normal working of pacemakers.

Let’s share today’s discovery.

While checking my blog(s) stats at statcounter (very good utility) I curiously clicked at the ‘blog’ link at the top of the home page. I landed on a page with a very simple blog-like appearance. There I found an article titled “The Credit Crisis - A Different Perspective”.

As a blog of a counter site is least expected to have a write-up on such a subject; I was a bit surprised.

But after reading the write-up – now I thank my curiosity.

As I don’t know what the expansion of the author’s name is (who simply calls her SJ);I can't word my praise for the author.Regarding the write-up, only one word comes to my mind – Beautiful!
